I am a Visual Artist from Mumbai, India.

When I started painting, I constantly had the notion that my skill was inadequate. It was this time where I would plan my pieces as much as I could and focus on detail while trying to incorporate what was organic to me. It took me a long time to ditch that process.

I eventually realised that the work of mine that I valued the most was more than often stuff that I didn't make a layout for, or I just "puked" after a long day in a short span of time. That eventually became my process. It's wildly liberating to reject skill- to rely on your instinct and not worry about whether the end product is "adequate". 

It's often said that great art conveys something, a story. A process like this allows you to live the story rather than just tell it.
